When screening tenants in Massachusetts, keep in mind the following:

1. Application fees shall not be charged by Landlords. Brokers and Rental Agencies may still charge application fees; however, should not. 
2. Provide and sign the MA Lead Law Disclosure
3. Collect the correct deposits and deposit them into the correct accoutns according to MA law.
4. Understand Service Animals and Pets
5. Understand Fair Housing Law
6. Know your rights and obligations when working with Section 8 applicants
