Today's Mortgage Mention: Poli Mortgage

I will try to give a fair and balanced mention of various mortgage brokers, lenders, banks and financial institutions. As I cannot possibly cover everything, I will introduce a few at a time in blog format. On the website, I will also be providing a list of various companies and individuals, some whom I've personally worked with, some who I have heard of and have a soft connection to, and then some who I've simply researched and found and find interesting. 

Today, I want to briefly introduce Poli Mortgage. In general, I think they have some compelling products and an interesting model. It might not work for everyone and, as I tell everyone, talk to a few lenders and know your options! 

Poli can be good for some clients looking for a very streamlined one-point of contact process. I understand that Poli may also offer other vertically and horizontally integrated services, such as closing attorney, so their client essentially gets a one-stop-shop.

As with any one-stop shop company, they may promise reduced rates, but you always want to do your due diligence, get a third party opinion, to find out where discount offers value and where it means cutting corners. 

On the mortgage side of the business, I have some great contacts at Poli. A few of them are fluent in Mandarin Chinese and have a great track record of helping first time and repeat homebuyers. 

The website has some great tools, including calculators and information about Poli's unique products. As these can vary daily and this is a static article, I will link to the website so you can see in real time what is currently being offered.  In general, you can likely expect to see first time homebuyer products, conventional mortgages, FHA loans, Jumbo Loans, USDA loans and Veteran loans.

I also really like the informational blogs Poli provides. I find the content to be honest, real, relevant and informative at a deeper level than your traditional 101 blogs. Check it out here.

The episode on Water, Money and Death is very original and surprisingly informative. Even as a real estate agent who knows this content, I found the delivery refreshing and educational with a few helpful peices of  lesser-known information I did not even know until much later in my real estate career.
